There are going to be subjects like:
* English (probably Languages)
* Geography
* History
* Science
* Arts
* Music
* Sports

And there's going to be grading system like:
A=from 1750 to 2500
B=1500 to 1750
C=1250 to 1500
D=1000 to 1250
F=below 1000

Just a suggestion.

And all the participants will be getting grade's card. And will try to improve themselves next week/month.

This is just an idea. I'm ideas maker. Got plenty of more ideas. But not much time to execute them.

Note that it's not going to be only for students (that study now), open for everyone.
Younger and people with more experience.

Grading cards. Average scores. Best student in the class etc. Maybe there's will be 2 or 3 classes (each consisting of 8 people). And grading etc.

Although I can't run this you know. I got two Tournaments on my back.

The Factolympics are run by me and Nakul. I thank him here on public for the job he did in the Factolympics. He also did a great job while I was out on vacation.

The Factacular World Cup I decided to go on my own, since I though it's not going to be hard. The first day was exhausting, the next days are more comfortable. With only two challenges to send today. :)

Yeah, when is the decathlon starting again. I missed it very much.

Well, this is quite similar, but with grades going up or down. But since no one interested in, then no to this idea.

Well, people who are interested for now are: Possum and Tushers. And that's just two. We will probably need more people. And who will run this?

If we have a class of 9 students (8 people plus me) I can run this. But there may be more interest in this, who knows. And there will be these subjects:
Science
Arts and Literature
Geography
History
Languages
Sports
Music

(I think we should skip Entertainment, Movies and Misc, as they are not appropriate for School Subjects ;)

So only 7 subjects (I doubt Music too, cause the majority of question are about new music). So probably 6 school subjects.

Just a suggestion - why don't you do a scaled-down run-through with just the few of you - then open it up with a sign-up page after you know the specifics of running it?

Kris i have found that when you post an idea it may not be a run away success, but when you post it is happening like this and when the interest rises...

i think you should do as Possum said and advertise it to run and do a small one, as you saw with your world cup it was a run away success

OK, let's do a pre-run first. So who's in?
I guess Possum, Tushers, Dave, Wabzy and I. We need 4 more.

And the school subjects are:
Languages
Science and Nature
Geography
History
Arts & Literature

The grading scale:
A+ # 2000-2500
A # 1900-1999
A- # 1800-1899
B+ # 1700-1799
B # 1600-1699
B- # 1500-1599
C+ # 1400-1499
C # 1300-1399
C- # 1200-1299
D+ # 1100-1199
D # 1000-1099
D- # 700-999
F # 0-699

The school year will consist of four periods.
First, second, third and forth.
And for the final grade there will be average grade from all the periods.

Example:
1 period -- A
2 -- B
3 -- C
4 -- B

So, A+B+C+B divided by 4 is B. Final grade B.
And there will be 5 grades (as 5 subjects). And the average grade will be grades from all subjects divided by 5.

*** Since it is school of facts, and not regular school, why not have 10 subjects (as there are 10 here on Factacular).

I am waiting for your critics and so. :)

Well if it is from this coming Monday to Friday and you need more people I'll be in. The following week the Jive starts so that would be no good. If you want a hand sending out challenges let me know.

You could send one challenge on each of the five subjects each day, then average the results at the end of the week - just a suggestion.

Since, it's only an experiment that's a great way to do it.

Only one class - so I guess in are: Krsitian, Possum, Wabzy, Tushers, Dave, JMK, Allan R. Matthes.

Place for two more.

So I will send one challenge per day (Geography, History, Science, Languages and Arts). And let's see if the grading scale will work, and will contribute to have different grades. :)

Do you like the grading scale, btw. :)

And note that this is only experiment, if this is great, then there will be sign-up pages, official grades etc. :)
Thanks for participating in the experiment. ;)

Yes, for the first run, at least. In the event of a tie, it is simple to award a + or - to break the tie. Do you agree, Tush?

yes stick to basics i say

your first idea Kris 100 - 86 = A
87 - 76 = b
78 - 55 = C
54 - 40 = D
Less then 40 is a big fat F

not sure if i ahve the A and B and C right but you get my idea. same as in school

D * 750-1250
F * below 750

Dave (dpf777)
Allan R. Matthes
Lucy

Well Scmwns - you are welcome to the official School Of Facts, as long as the experiment goes fine (which I think it will). This is just to see, wheather there are going to be different grades, and if it is interesting for people to play in.
