Liverpool FC -- Four time winners of European Cup 1977, 1978, 1981 and 1984 and winners of Champions League once in 2005. UEFA (Fairs)Cup Winners 1973 and 1976. UEFA Cup Winners 2001. Most successful British Team in Europe in all competitions. Former managers include Bill Shankly and Bob Paisley. Former players include Kenny Dalglish, Graham Souness both of whom went onto manage the club.

Celtic FC -- Celtic Park -- First British winners of European Cup in 1967 beating Inter Milan 2 - 1. Lost European Cup Final in 1969 to the Dutch club Feyenoord. Winners of 9 Scottish League Championships in a row under the leadership of Jock Stein.

Chelsea FC -- Stamford Bridge -- Twice winners of European Cup Winners Cup in 1971 and 1998. Currently owned by Roman Abramovitch.

Aston Villa FC -- Villa Park -- Winners of European Cup in 1982. Presently managed by Martin O'Neill who used to play for Nottingham Forest,

Nottingham Forest FC -- City Ground -- Twice winners of European Cup in 1978 and 1979 whilst managed by Brian Clough.

Tottenham Hotspur FC -- White Hart Lane -- winners of English First Division and FA Cup in 1961 whilst being managed by Bill Nicholson. First British Winners of European Cup Winners Cup in 1963. Twice winners of UEFA Cup in 1972 (Fairs Cup) and 1984.

West Ham United FC -- Upton Park -- winners of European Cup Winners Cup in 1965. Former players were Bobby Moore, Sir Geoff Hurst and Martin Peters who all won World Cup Winners Medals with England in 1966. Hurst scored 3 goals known in 1966 World Cup Final known in the game of football as a hat trick.

Newcastle United FC -- St James Park -- Currently managed by Kevin Keegan for the second time. Team nickname Magpies. Last won major trophy in 1969. Famous ex players include Alan Shearer and Malcolm MacDonald.

Rangers FC - Ibrox Park Glasgow -- Winners of European Cup Winners Cup in 1972 -- the current Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson played for the club in the late 60's (1960's). Lost in the UEFA Cup Final in 2008 to Zenit St.Petersburg the first Russian Club to win the trophy.

Everton FC -- Goodison Park -- Winners of European Cup Winners Cup in 1985. Former managers include Harry Catterick and Howard Kendall.

Leeds United FC -- Winners of UEFA (Fairs) Cup)in 1968 and 1971. Currently managed by Eddie Gray a former player. Former players include Billy Bremmer, Johnny Giles and Gary Sprake. Sold Rio Ferdinand to Manchester United for close on £30,000,000.

Barcelona FC -- Camp Nou -- Winners of European Cup in 1992 and 2006. Winners of UEFA Cup 4 times in 1979, 1982, 1989 and 1997, Former players include Gary Linneker now a football and golf commentator with BBC Sport and Johann Cruyff arguably the most gifted player of his generation. Their arch rivals are Real Madrid. Current players include Lionel Messi and Carlos Puyol.

Real Madrid FC -- Santiago Bernabeu Stadium -- Have won the European Cup now Champions League a record 9 times. Present Spanish champions. Former players include Luis Figo who also played for Barcelona and arguably the world's most recognised football player of recent times David Beckham. The current English manager Fabio Capello used to manage the club.

SBFM - there is already a Football Grounds subject but the extra info can be added to them. I know very little about football but I think there are only English grounds in the list so perhaps we could change that to UK football grounds and have a separate European one. What do others think?
