This morning we had our music on shuffle - were most amused that after Devels Gate Drive by Susie Quattro we immediately had Highway to Hell by AC/DC finishing up with Stairway to Heaven. Got us chuckling at the randomness of it :)

Shuffle is the best! I always love when classical goes to hard rock or rap. A roommate of mine had a bunch of anatomy lessons on his iPod, those would always crack me up.

I love it when it's on shuffle & you get that weird segue thing happening. The other day I had Livin' in the 70s (Skyhooks); Planet Claire (B-52s); Reasons To Be Cheerful Part 3 & Superman's Big Sister (Ian Dury) followed a bit later by some Bloodhound Gang & Living End. Then I thought I'd better grow up a bit. Turned off shuffle & listened to Texas Flood & Live Alive in full. I'd like to say they're Stevie's best albums but I think all his albums are his best.

We went out whale watching today - the music being played was the 1812 overture - it seemed to fit watching the mighty beasts frolick around the boat.

Sounds like a busy summer!

I may do a road trip out to the California, Nevada & Colorado in a couple months.  If I can swing it it will be with an old school friend, gonna have to rifle through the old mixtapes and CDs.

As for today, had Stone Temple Pilots stuck in my head.  Somehow Aretha was only a few youtube clicks away so had a little memorial.

Favorite Aretha song?

Mine is probably "Ain't no Way". Like her version of "Spanish Harlem" too.

Most of my casual listening is not music. I can get furious if my music listening is interrupted, the mood is broken; whereas I'm happy to switch off the spoken word, I can catch up on it later.

Today my ironing elf  was unwell, so I caught up on laundry and Bach.

Not a song, but later I started catching up on the podcast 'My Dad Wrote A Porno' which continues me to make me laugh very loudly.

@Quiz I had "Cold as Ice" in my head all day yesterday. Kept trying to do the three part round harmony (Cold Cold Cold As As As Ice) by myself. Had no idea why, then checked this thread again :).

@Quiz, Bryn and Sally - I think we might be rockin' DJs in a parallel universe.
