Tour de France on TV , bloody cyclists blocking our roads !!  In the mountains now , enjoy that , watching poor guys slog up hills , very entertaining . They go uphill as fast as I manage on flat .

You won't believe this but I was quite good on a bike , then they found they could put engines in them !!  Never looked back .

This is the first time I've watched a Tour at length. What's with the endless lineup of village idiots just waiting about to put a spoke in somebody's wheel (pun intended)? It seems like every second rider has to watch out for someone to leap out & try to slap, push, smoke-bomb or abuse them! I noticed one competitor being chased by a grinning fool with his bum hanging out of his pants. If that was me, I'd have abandoned the race altogether & used his butt-cheeks as a bike rack.
Lovely scenery though.

I’ve noticed the bike race is getting more violent - spectators not content to clap and cheer politely - or grumble among themselves at the pub afterward. Now they feel they have the right to take physical action. Not just cycling - all sports are doing this now.

On the subject of cycling - hubby and I are cycling again after a hiatus when he broke his toe and  a tendon came loose. I walked the grandchildren along a part of the track yesterday and there is a tricky section where you come down a small steep slope go across a narrow wooden bridge over a creek and then up a loose gravel section on the other side. First time we did it I screamed and wobbled through that section - am quite confident now.  Anyway explained to kids that Nanna and Poppa cycled across this bit and the 5 year old granddaughter peered into the creek and asked if the crocodile could catch me (no - we going to fast) and the 7 year old grandson was in awe of my talent and reckons I must be a ninja!

I love my smart grandchildren.

And yes that creek does have Crocodiles in it - rangers are always setting up traps to get them and cart them away.

Love the tour!

Especially the Pyrenees and all the castles.

Hope Thomas can stay ahead of Froome.

Great stage today - for once the crocodiles didn't catch the breakaway

The Tour digusts my brother . Nothing but litter louts despoiling the country . Have I mentioned he is an idiot ?

All the discarded bits and pieces are taken home by excited spectators of course , but we all knew that didn't we ?
