He was definitely NOT a germanic "joy boy".

If he did exist, he was probably Middle Eastern by birth, Jewish by upringing.

If he existed, then I will lower my defences and admit to Him.

But the world at large requires more and continuous to do so.

I love the idea. But the faith backing that idea is what disturbes me

Current Fees:

Doctor: Lots

Veterinarian: Are You Kidding?

Amazingly accepting anesthesiologist: Excuse me while I weigh your wallet and usually don't do anything.

Veterinarian: At least I get to kill something legitimately.

Amazingly accepting anesthesiologist: Watch it buddy!

Patient: What are ya gonna do? Put me to sleep? You only do that because of overkill.

Catarach operations. I paid for a $500 per hour anesthesiologist each time. He showed up and introduced himself and then pissed off. His nurse did the rest of the work.

I actually don't remember anybody doing anything except for the operation and the ophthalmologist.

I'm sorry, but am I insane? Am I getting ripped off?

I understand that the anesthesiologist is reponsible for the work conducted. I am not an idiot.

But the justification relative to insurance is NOT 500, 400, 300, 200 nor 100 a visit.

What the hell is going on here?

My favourite film of all time is still Paul Newman's "The Verdict".

Sidney Lumet directed it.

I watch that film time and time again and can only begin to classify the suffering of the sister.

Frank Galvin is my hero. A down and out ambulance chasing bum that rose up and realised his role in life, that of a crusader. He saw the sword and he picked it up. He realised his role and accepted it.

Normal people can only come close to this superhero. But Frank Galvin is indeed, us and our hopes and dreams realised.

But remember, Frank Galvin is also the sum total of experience and that is the weapon he applies to the lawyer Concannon. The so called Prince of F&*^%ing Darkness.

I so love this film because I see a guy on the cheeks of his ass rising up to accept a nobler cause despite booze or anything.

Frank Galvin is a drunk, a boozehound, and an alcoholic. But he is still a superhero despite the fact that he shouldn't be.

Did he win? You have to watch the film and be prepared.

I think Frank Galvin deserves his own comic.

Gosh.

I thought I was just wishing people an enjoyable time at a certain time of year.

I hope that when I post at what I think is New Year I won't see a lot of musings on space time continium or druid ideas, when I wished  a Happy Christmas I suppose I was saying  something like ' enjoy some time off with those close to you'

Thank you Sally for your post

I won't say 'Happy Holidays' because it has no meaning to me.

I really like the film The Verdict - Lumet is a hero to me.

I'm cross that what I thought may be a thread where we could  just say hello seems to be something else.

But your point is accepted.

I wish not only Factacular Members but all peoples luck, fullfillment and happiness.

Relative to Java and me, it's been a bad year.

So our hopes are that this year will be better.
