Non-participants in the Factacular Cup Tournament Qualifying Round, players amalia and linda freitas, will be allocated the two bottom seeding postions in the Factacular Plate competition in accordance with their respective Daily Brainoff aggregate score rating by Factacular.com.

PLEASE NOTE: As instructed by the Tournament Organiser, in future Factacular Cup tournaments, non-players in the Qualifying Round will be excluded from the remainder of the tournament.

Tournament rules will be amended to reflect this as at the next tournament.

Yeah...sorry guys, it's just becoming too difficult.  All the remedial work with regard to non qualifying round players....it's just not worth the effort.

So I will amend the rules to reflect the following:

If you cannot play or will not play the Factacular Cup Qualifying Round in future, you will be excluded from the rest of the tournament.

The implications of that are as follows:

If there are TWO or more players left after the qualifying round of ANY tournament using the rules of 16 (berths) or 8 (berths), then those lowest two or more players will be placed in their own competition.

If there is just ONE player left over according to qualifying round scores, they will be excluded from the rest of the tournament.....and, of course, asked back for the next.

This HAS happened before and the player didn't like it.

The solution is simple.......don't be that player.

Robot, calm down, if someone doesn't play it's luck for someone else, free pass. If they don't play the qualifier, bung them in anyway but at bottom of list. Despite your obvious annoyance it's not a big deal. Challnge them to a brainoff and scream at them !!

There may be just too much fartin' around accommodating players that don't show up for the qualifying round.......with emphasis on the word "may".  It depends on how the player count is shaping up.

Anyhow, it'll be up to the organiser's discretion.  Who is that again?  Oh yeah.....me.

From my perspective, it was a fun competition.  I mean, once I figured out again what the hell I was doing.

Thanks shaunt and killerb54 for the draw........something that had not happened in over 15 Factacular Cups just HAD to happen when I came back and didn't know what I was doing.

But the rules set me straight and I knew what to do.  I noted with interest, you guys DIDN'T know what to do.
