Dave Ridgway drilled 'The Kick' through the uprights with 9 seconds left from Hamilton’s 26 yard line to give Saskatchewan its first Grey Cup championship in 23 years and defeat heavily favored Hamilton.

This was the first time the Grey Cup and Vanier Cup had been held at the same venue on the same weekend.
