Pernicious Anaemia
can be caused by deficiency of
Vitamin B12
Vitamins and minerals are required to make red blood cells. In addition to iron, vitamin B12 and folate are required for the proper production of hemoglobin. Deficiency in any of these may cause anemia. This type is not strictly caused by a dietary deficiency, some people can't readily absorb B-12. The result is B-12 deficiency (pernicious anemia).
