Whig, Thomas Pelham Holles was one of the most influential ministers in Great Britain during the critical years when France and England fought over North America Known in Canada as the War of Conquest Nicknamed "The Devout". He hated music and had a dislike to women's companionship. By James Fenimore Cooper, 1826 Whig, not particulary well know for much of anything, he maintained the status quo Had 7 children including the future Emperor Alexander II By William Makepeace Thackeray, 1844 Nicknamed "The Hunchback". Entrusted government to his viziers and spent much of his time composing poetry.
