my stress level almost reached the "breaking point" last Friday when Hurricane Ike was predicted to make a direct hit on our coast as a cat-4 storm.. so you can appreciate the request for prayers for those in the path at this point.

the storms of '04 & '05 here in Florida changed the lives of so many; both mentally and physically. i would not wish those days on anyone, any where. waiting in line to get water and food is the most humbling experience you could imagine. it changes your entire outlook on the enitre "human condition".

just appreciate and give thanks for what you have.

Oh, I already have passed it on! I was thinking of Cousin Diane with the Blue Tarp one! All so funny! I can imagine your fear of every single hurricane which forms because they can do anything! Go anywhere! Turn, twist, circle around! They are so entirely unpredictable and that is why I tell Carlo there is no "predicting" what they will do!

whats this about a party and a hurricane guide, why wasnt i invited? i may not need the hurricane guide unless of course it has directions to the closest cafe!!

i know what you mean wicksie, and am more than grateful for not having to endure these things.

Yes, Wabz ~ there is no predicting the true path. That is what make them so scary. Even though you have some advance notice, over a tornado, it is not "cast in stone" as evidenced by Fay who made an entire loop in the Bahamas before Florida with torrential rain and continuing up the East Coast.

time for me to bid you all a fond adieu! godspeed and a good weekend!

mm who knows. this is England as known with its miserable weather.. If it wasn't too far from Turkey I'd have lived in Australia or New Zealand.. Weather seems always hot & all the people I met are lovely, too..
How old is Aiden now? Me, too.. Before I had children I used to wake up @ 6 am.. Hubby used to say relax, sleep I used to say no "I can't! I can't! Time is going!!" He used to tell me to enjoy tis morning times cos I'd miss them when we have children... Now I know what he means.. My kids are up @ 6 & little princess gets up once or twice @ night.. Oh well, I know it is only gonna last till they are 30 =O)..
Take care & spk to you soon. xxx

wicksie so good to see you, here also the "many" hurricanes are driving us nuts, liters and liters of water, Mexico City is turning in a huge pool, awful. Take care.

Juliet a pleasure to see you, how is family doing. Bad news Juliet, it will last forever, when they grow you wish they are little, big guys, big trouble jajaja, sorry

Hi, Susana! I bet you wish that rain were snow? You like the cold, don't you?

Juliet, kids are always there! It doesn't matter how old they get they always think of a way to get you! Mine has his mail sent to my house and I have to sift through huge amts. of junkmail and his catalogs everyday and then he never takes anything HOME with him! I wish I could build a bonfire but they don't allow up to have them anymore. I really miss them. Oh, yes, he always does his laundry here, overloads the dryer, and uses all my detergent. So I buy cheap detergent for him and hide the good stuff for myself! I have to do it!
